Role: Inside Sales Engineer
As an Inside Sales Engineer, you’ll responsible for providing internal support through the review of engineering drawings, performing material take-offs, generating cost proposals, assisting with project development, and engaging with internal and external personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Review engineering drawings and documents to understand project requirements
- Perform accurate take-offs of equipment to generate cost proposals based on project specifications
- Develop in-depth knowledge of product offerings and their applications through training
- Assist Outside Sales staff with project development from inception to completion
- Assist in designing tailored solutions that meet specific customer application requirements by applying HVAC engineering principles
- Engage with customers daily to provide technical support, contribute to sales efforts, and assist in closing sales
- Learn and utilize various selection software provided by manufacturers to aid in project development
- Maintain effective communication with team members regarding project management processes
- Effectively present information to customers and colleagues in various settings
- Perform general administrative tasks to support equipment fulfillment processes, including order entry, order tracking, and report generation
- Conduct occasional jobsite visits to review equipment layouts o Perform other job duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or associate's degree in engineering; or relevant industry experience of 2 to 5 years
- Experience in the HVAC, Mechanical Contracting, Engineering, or Construction industry, preferred
- Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency
- Proficiency with and/or the ability to quickly learn Salesforce CRM
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Organization skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations, compute percentages, and interpret graphs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization
