Responsibilities
- Develop innovative designs for plastic components used in medical devices, considering functionality, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Apply knowledge of injection molding processes to design parts that meet performance, quality, and manufacturability requirements.
- Collaborate with tooling engineers and manufacturers to ensure optimal mold design and functionality.
- Conduct mold flow analysis and simulations to predict and address potential manufacturing issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in design engineering, with a focus on injection molding and plastic component design.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools (e.g., Moldflow)..
