Position Overview
Reporting to the Director, Program Partnerships & Operations with a dotted line into the Chief Marketing Officer, the Program Manager will work to build Baby2Baby’s institutional understanding of community needs by engaging directly with the families we serve and the organizations we support.
The Program Manager will work at 5830 W. Jefferson Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90016. The work is performed in an office setting and is currently in office or on site 3 – 5 days per week.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages Baby2Baby’s Family Liaison program through consistent communication with partner organizations to identify, build and nurture relationships with families served by Baby2Baby. Works closely with the Program and Marketing department leads to ensure all objectives are accomplished.
- Leads the program piece of Baby2Baby’s program storytelling videos and photos including communication with partners and families, on-site support for media days and comprehensive support for included families on an ongoing basis.
- Regularly supports the marketing, development, and corporate teams in identifying storytelling opportunities with Baby2Baby families and remains the throughline with all family contacts during photo/video shoots, interviews, etc.
- Acts as the voice and the champion of the families we serve across the country.
- Works with the Program team to secure participation and enrollment of families in distribution events as directed by the Events Director.
- Travels nationally when needed, through Disaster Relief work or engagement & development trips with our partners across the country. Meets with families and partner organizations to deepen our knowledge of various cities and the unique qualities of each community.
- Updates senior management on community needs by staying up to date on the latest needs through news coverage, direct meetings with families and partner organizations.
- Supports the Program team with other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Bilingual/Spanish speaking.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the non-profit sector or related field. Candidates with experience working with high need families in a direct-service role will be given first consideration.
- Ability to work with multi-ethnic populations and/or populations with mental illness, as well as demonstrated cultural competency.
- Excellent people skills, with experience collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team.
- Demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities, proposing new ways of creating efficiencies, and guiding program initiatives.
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills/experience.
- Flexible and a self-starter with the ability to multitask while also being highly detail oriented.
- Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to Baby2Baby’s mission.
Preferred Qualifications
- Baby2Baby supports families in under-resourced communities, often communities of color. We are seeking candidates with lived experience that aligns with the families in our program.
- Knowledge of the nonprofit sector in Los Angeles, including experience referring parents and families to supportive services and programs.
Salary
This role’s salary range is between 50-65k/yr. Actual salary is determined based on a number of factors, including but not limited to your relevant skills, qualifications, and years of experience.
