Test Operations Program Manager

Contract Duration: 6 months (potential extension)
Pay Rate: $50 - $80/hr depending on experience
Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Test Operations Program Manager (Test - OPM) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the onboarding of the production test sets used for manufacturing. The role’s responsibilities include: planning the bring-up plan across all our test sets, organizing cross-functional teams for the bring-up activities, and driving integration issues to closure between test sets and our in-house manufacturing software systems. These test sets will validate the quality of our hardware before integration and will be key for company success. As a critical member in our cross-functional team, you will collaborate with test engineers, manufacturing engineers, software engineers and program managers from across organizations.
Key Responsibilities
“Game Day” = end-to-end testing prior to going live
“Pipe cleaner” = set-up work prior to “Game Day”
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement improvements to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Oversee and collaborate with cross-functional teams to triage, prioritize and coordinate the resolution of critical issues identified during testing, ensuring timely and effective remediation.
- Implement processes and tools to streamline issue tracking, reporting, and communication.
- Assess the current state of testing practices and develop roadmaps for achieving higher levels of test maturity.
- Provide hands-on support and guidance during the initial stages of production testing.
- Plan the “Game Days” to onboard the test sets across organizations, balancing operator/technician and equipment resources with test set availability and readiness
- Organize “Game Day” support teams to execute a successful “Game Day” per the program plan
- Develop a strong “Pipe cleaner” and “Game Day” plan to highlight integration issues and identify any risks to production
- Manage and drive issues resulting from “Pipe cleaner” and “Game Day”, triaging, prioritizing and implementing corrective actions and buy-in across cross-functional teams
- Document resolution/mitigations and create play book for continuous improvement to onboard test sets
- Creating weekly status-updates to highlight and consolidate key “Game Day” blockers and issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience working with Manufacturing and Manufacturing Test teams
- Experience working with Manufacturing Test systems (SAP) and familiarity with working with in-house test systems/software/APIs/networking.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to drive cross-functional issues
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work across different functions
- Experience driving issues and bugs across organizations
- Experience with bug tracking systems (Jira, SIMT, etc.)
