Title: Failure Analysis Technician (Datacenter Operations)
Contract Length: 11 months
Location: Florence, KY
Shift: 2nd shift- Monday - Friday, 5p - 1:30a
Pay Rate: up to 26/hr
Summary:
As a Failure Analysis technician, you will be working in the failure analysis lab on a team dedicated to the remediation of technology that is found throughout Amazon's datacenters. You will be responsible for the hands-on diagnoses, repair/replacement, and/or decommissioning of internal components, and running analyses on fail-points to ensure the sustainability and security of Amazon's datacenters.
Responsibilities:
- Run point on the intake of equipment from datacenters across the country and distribute it through the appropriate channel(s)
- Conduct analyses on hardware to determine the fail point, diagnostics, and determine the appropriate action based on findings and company guidelines
- Repair and replace the internal components of server racks, workstations, laptops/desktops, and more to be returned to datacenters
- Properly decommission IT hardware in accordance to company policy
Requirements:
- An educational background in information technology, or a related field (can be either a minimum of an associate's degree or an accredited IT oriented certification (e.g.: CompTIA A+))
- Have hands-on experience working with technology hands-on (computer hardware or equivalent)- building, troubleshooting, repair/replacing parts, etc. is preferable
- Strong desire to go above and beyond- must be a real "go-getter"
