Caring. Connecting. Growing together. This position is full time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:30pm EST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at 935 River Road Suite 301 Edgewater, NJ 07020.
We offer 2 - 3 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of training will be aligned with your schedule.
Primary Responsibilities: Jobs in this function provide medical transcription services directly to providers. This includes transcribing dictated information through the use of word processing to produce medical and clinical documents.
- Clerical position
- Document SOAP note
- Enters diagnoses, ICD 10's
- Pends prescriptions, lab orders, referrals, and imaging studies for provider to sign
- Inputs billing, E&M code, and CPT codes for obesity, smoking, depression and alcohol/drug use.
- All computer responsibilities provider incurs, including ancillary software
- Prompts providers with questions appropriately regarding plan of care and orders
- Assists provider in any other nonmedical manners

Required Qualifications: - High School Diploma / GED
- Must be 18 years OR older
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- 1+ years experience as a medical transcriptionist
- Ability to work our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:30pm EST, Monday - Friday. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.
Preferred Qualifications: - Bilingual fluency in English / Spanish
Soft Skills: - Able to empathize with patients
New Jersey Residents Only: The hourly range for this is $16.54 - $32.55 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
