AuditCo is a leading global audit and inspection company, serving all sectors and a growing number of markets globally. As part of a global client project, we have now entered the USA market and require QA Inspector based in the Tri-Cities region, Washington State.
Role Description
We are recruiting for a full-time role for QA/Quality Control Inspector, Fiber Network Construction, to complete full-time ongoing inspections of network infrastructure in and around the Tri-Cities area for a major client.
Our QA/QC Inspectors will complete ongoing inspections of fiber network and data centre builds (OSP), focused on civil construction, cable installation, fiber splicing, health and safety matters and fiber testing reviews.

Responsibilities
- Conduct daily monitoring and field reports on construction contractors including civil construction, cable installation, fiber splicing, health and safety matters, and fiber testing reviews (NOTE: this role does not include testing or other technical tasks - inspection and review only)
- Prepare daily summary reports for clients and regional Project Managers
- Report any delays, disruptions, or non-compliance with client Construction Standards during daily monitoring
- Liaise with project clients and contractors
- Review client construction standards and project schedules
- Follow project delivery schedules
- Attend project kickoffs, and follow QA Inspector schedules
- Attend project meetings and site walk-throughs at client request
Qualifications and Experience
- APPLICANTS SHOULD HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH CONSTRUCTION SITES AND/OR FIBER OR INFRASTRUCTURE NETWORKS
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with fiber network and other digital infrastructure builds
- Experience with civil construction (eg trenching, boring, pit installations)
- Experience in the audit and inspection industry an advantage but not mandatory
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance (including OSHA) and digital infrastructure construction standards an advantage
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to use online forms and IT systems
- Capable of reading simple permits to ensure construction is in compliance. i.e. infrastructure installed within the permitted ROW
- Familiar with underground utility construction not limited to HDD, plow, jack and bore, and open trench methods
- Familiar with general WHS requirements
- Understand, audit, or complete network butterfly drawings
- Capable of assessing the validity of as-built documentation at close-out of conduit and fibre projects
- Hold or willing to obtain basic traffic control certifications
- Hold or willing to obtain relevant OSHA certifications
- Willing to participate in background checks for some data centre roles (not required for all roles)
- Valid driver's license
Remuneration
- Wage and benefits packages will be offered, suitable to the applicant's experience. This role can also be offered as a fixed term contract with options.
