Responsibilities
- Your role will also include maintaining and improving our software, ensuring it's secure, reliable, and performs at its best performance levels.
- Test, implement, document and maintain high quality business systems software solutions.
- Previous experience with in the retail sector is highly desirable, not required.
Qualifications
• BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalency in related education and professional work experience
• Experience with Retail Commerce Systems is helpful, including Product Sourcing, Call Center, eCommerce and Order Fulfillment Systems
• 8+ years of work experience in a software development role
• 5+ years of experience in a combination of the following:
- COBOL
- JCL
- CICS
- DB2
- VSAM
- MySQL, SQL, or similar database experience
- C#, .Net core, APIs
- Cloud based infrastructure (AWS)
- Git or an equivalent distributed version control system/repository
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Proven ability to collaborate on designs, estimates, and delivery of complex development tasks while acting as a proactive team member in an Agile development environment
• Creates clean and maintainable code following coding standards and secure coding requirements
• Proficient in verbal and written communication for both technical and business audiences
• Continually enhance and share knowledge in application development best practices, technologies, methodologies, and standards
