Our client in Columbus, OH is seeking an Inventory Supervisor to join their team.
This is a direct hire/full-time/onsite position
Salary based on experience: $55k-70k
Position Summary: This position brings organization to the inventory area of the facility, including the receiving area, bulk storage, rack storage, and all the transportation of parts to primary customers. Primary customers are all the regulator production lines, the subassembly areas, and the service parts area. In addition, the Inventory Supervisor will oversee outbound shipments of some items such as blank seats going out for further processing, cast parts going to machine shops, recycling of shipping containers to upstream suppliers, sample products to potential suppliers, scrap to recyclers, rejected parts back to suppliers, etcetera.

- Maintain a safe production and warehouse environment.
- Ensure team compliance with laws, codes, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Supervise the following personnel at a minimum: Inventory Specialists (currently four in this role on two shifts) and Inventory Production Associates (currently two in this role).
- Ensure personnel are promptly attending to shipments arriving, routing paperwork as necessary, moving pallets to the Receiving Quarantine Area, utilizing the color cone identification system, timely receiving parts into NetSuite, working with Quality Assurance to expeditiously inspect parts, and moving parts into the supply chain once cleared.
- Organize the parts on the floor, including working with the Continuous Improvement Engineer to identify the most concise and efficient layout of parts on the floor using LEAN principles.
- Maintain parts in the correct locations, logically placed to assist Inventory personnel in finding parts/locations in the future.
- Drive the installation, commissioning, and daily use of the new Warehouse Management System.
- Work with Purchasing (and Engineering as necessary) to clear up issues associated with reduced part availability.
- Conduct and coordinate (using Inventory personnel) regular inventory audits and report the results to the Supply Chain Manager.
- Identify and notify the Supply Chain Manager of obvious part quantity deficiencies when noticed in the warehouse.
- Identify and quarantine unlabeled parts until properly identified, potentially using Engineering for assistance.
- Keep the warehouse area clean and organized using 5S principles.

Education/Experience:
- Post-secondary education is desired, but not required. Experience associated with warehouse supervision is desired, but not required.
