Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with the Industry Intelligence & Benchmarking department and the Digital Center of Excellence. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and facilitate the completion of research projects, industry studies, member resources, and news. You will ensure that projects initiated by both internal stakeholders and outside vendors are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. Additionally, you will play a key role in engaging with NAED members to shape research efforts, collect feedback, and present findings in compelling ways.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and manage multiple projects and initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Manage and develop marketing content, website updates, and coordinate the timely release of project information.
- Collect qualitative and quantitative data through surveys, interviews, and focus groups.
- Maintain detailed project notes, provide updates to the team, and ensure milestones are met.
- Manage research projects and benchmarking studies, including drafting and evaluating RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs.
- Coordinate outreach to members, vendors, and research committees; serve as a liaison to research groups.
- Utilize project management software to track progress and ensure task completion.
- Review research materials, provide feedback, and assist in finalizing results for publication.
- Contribute to strategic thinking around supply chain management and digital technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required; more than five years of experience in a related field.
- Strong project management experience with a deep understanding of formal project management methodologies.
- Proven ability to conduct research projects, including quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to build strong relationships with staff and association members.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and survey design/analysis tools.
- Creative mindset and a strong team orientation.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
- Experience in the electrical industry is a plus.
