Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic IT Advisor shall have a variety of responsibilities, as listed below:
Articulate & Evangelize
Crystallize, curate & communicate Tech M’s IT strategy & services offerings to various customers @ CXO level, in order to:
- articulate value proposition & alignment with their respective business vision for proactive & reactive deals.
- influence customer’s IT Strategy & Vision.
- Uplift CXO connect, help improve adoption of Tech M proposals.
- where appropriate, constructively challenging IT roadmaps of friendly customer organizations.
Advising Pre-Sales & Strategic Solution Architecture Teams
- To develop the most appropriate products/service capabilities for Tech M customers in line with market trends & business strategy of each customer.
Large deal focus
- Have vision & ability to conceptualize & cascade large deal ideas to sales & pre-sales teams to enable proactive and reactive proposition pitches through respective client partner, chief transformation advisor, delivery head, business excellence & large deal team.
Customer communication and relationship
- Help account teams to communicate intrinsic business value of the sales proposals to key customer touch points and buyer organization. Proactively supports proposal defense, map & influence select customer CXO’s / board members, and improve chances of deal win.
Fostering innovation & delivering thought leadership
- Uplifting brand image of the company, delivering thought leadership by developing, presenting and representing Tech Mahindra’s Strategic IT Transformation viewpoint at key industry events.
- Providing insights to Tech Mahindra Innovation Labs.
Skills required:
Strategic Thinking:
Candidate should have in-depth business and IT Technology expertise with global perspective in Telecom domain. He/She should clearly be able to bring out the big picture, articulate what matters most, how business and technology transformation can be inter-related and may impact each other in short, medium and long term.
Subject Matter Expertise:
Candidate should himself/herself be an SME in Telecom IT business with rich and varied experience behind him/her. Candidate should clearly be able to articulate how to align IT strategy with business strategy to make it value accretive & induction of new technologies especially AI/GenAI powered through embedded cyber security.
Business Acumen:
Candidate should demonstrate excellent business acumen in order to articulate how to create value, sustain and maximize the returns of a telecom business.
Analytical Skills:
Candidate should be able to correlate global events, contextualize to local business environment & suggest business improvements/sustainability measures.
Experience:
- Must have at least 20~25 years of leadership experience behind him/her at CIO / Chief Enterprise Architect @ a reputed Telecom Operator.
- Candidate should be contemporary industry expert, be able to command adequate professional stature.
- Should have worked across geographies, business & technology domains, managed sizeable business and technology transformations through deep personal involvement.
- Experience with hyper-scalers shall be an added advantage.
