Role Overview
The Client will oversee and manage the operations and maintenance of the sanitary sewer conveyance system and water production/distribution system, including wells, tanks, and interconnects. This role requires a commitment to being available 24/7 and working in various weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily operations and maintenance of the water and sewer systems
- Manage a full-time team of six staff members and oversee outside contractors to ensure the effective operation of all facilities
- Lead and support an established team, fostering a positive work culture while seeking to optimize processes and provide training
- Interact professionally with customers, the public, developers, professional staff, and government agencies to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations
- Be available for emergency situations and work in inclement weather as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or business
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic concepts and applications
- PA DEP operator certifications (or the ability to attain within one year) relevant to Authority systems
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team
- Strong problem-solving abilities and professional communication skills
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of service and operational excellence
