LHH Recruitment Solutions is in search of a skilled IT Assistant to join our client in El Cajon for an exciting opportunity. The IT Assistant’s responsibilities include providing general IT support, scheduling time with end users, installing software, assigning access to folders, assigning access in the client ERP system, auditing membership lists, configuring printers, configuring VoIP phone extensions, computer setup, etc. Our fast-paced IT department offers opportunities to work with a variety of technologies.
This is a contract, on-site role in El Cajon lasting at least 6 months with the possibility of converting to permanent.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist employees and provide a high level of customer service when providing support as it relates to responding to helpdesk incidents and requests.
- Update technical documentation and end-user guides.
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware, software, tablets, printers, phones and similar equipment.
- Set up and take down equipment from employees' workstations including computers, monitors and related components.
- Utilize Excel to audit data and identify changes or anomalies.
- Utilize the IT ticketing system to track projects and requests.
- Triage tickets and reassign issues to other team members or other departments when needed.
- Organize and coordinate activities associated with installation, deployment, and upgrade of software, hardware, and voice/video resources.
- Propose changes or solutions to products and services for optimal business results, as well as investigate customer relationship problems.
- Keep constant communication with the IT team and keep them informed of outages.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 6 months experience in IT support
- Computer Science-related Certifications or degrees
- Hands-on Microsoft 365 experience
- Hands-on Active Directory experience
- Microsoft fileserver experience
- SharePoint experience
REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES
- Project management and prioritization skills in a busy IT environment.
- Strong client communication/interaction and business skills.
- Troubleshooting abilities with Windows 10, 11operating systems, network connectivity, PC hardware and Software, iOS, iPadOS, Android, Video Conferencing and VoIP.
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills - candidate must be comfortable working within a group setting and independently.
- Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of employees and external entities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with prioritization and organizational skills.
