SUMMARY
Works closely with all functions of the team to achieve project. Requires extensive knowledge of all technical aspects of PLC and ladder logic programming.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Oversees a smooth start-up on all projects requiring PLC programming support.
- Attends engineering line up, manufacturing line up and team meetings as required.
- Acquires project specifications for programming and distributes to PLC programmers.
- Determines manpower requirements (quantity and type) with Plant Leader/Supervisor.
- Monitors progress in build and engineering to react to any schedule changes.
- Supports debug leader team as required by project.
- Supports scheduling of machine time between the customer, project management, robot programming, PLC programming and manufacturing.
- Installs projects at a customer site and supports the Installation and Service Supervisor during installation.
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directly leads employees or contractors on projects.
- Support internal and customer buy-offs.
- Ensures all buyoff check sheets are completed and accurate prior to internal buyoff.
- Carry out leader responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include employee training, planning, assigning, and directing work.
- Appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four year college or university, or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
