One of the world's leading hedge funds is looking to grow out their Operations Engineering team here in New York City. They are looking to onboard some of the sharpest engineers who are passionate about supporting the industries best SRE's, Quants, and Software Engineers in the world. This team is in a high visibility position supporting multiple functions throughout the business including trading critical infrastructure. An Operations Engineer has the opportunity to work with a breadth of technologies, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to help maintain their cutting edge infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot technology issues related to hardware, software, user accounts, trading environments, operating systems, and mobility.
- Engage in technical collaboration with other Infrastructure groups and Business IT teams as appropriate.
- Monitor incident response, change management, disaster recovery, and design review.
- Escalate, coordinate, and manage incident response for critical firm-wide issues.
- Provide excellent customer service experiences for all end users, traders, and senior leadership.
Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of operating systems including Windows and Linux.
- Experience working in Financial Services preferred.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Proven ability to build strong partnerships with business partners.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively recognize and resolve technical issues and adapt quickly to a changing technical environment.
- Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) in Computer Science or a related field.
- Good understanding of network technologies
