We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Health Information Management to join our dynamic team. This role is instrumental in maintaining the highest standards of care while optimizing financial performance under the Prospective Payment System guidelines.
Your Role:
- Ensure adherence to safety and infection control policies and procedures.
- Participate in Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement processes and committees.
- Uphold confidentiality and security of medical information per HIPAA guidelines.
- Provide oversight, guidance, and workflow management within the HIM department.
- Develop educational materials and conduct instructional programs for healthcare personnel.
- Code medical records according to professional standards and guidelines.
- Conduct audits and coding reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate assessments to ensure compliance with Medicare and other payer requirements.
- Analyze patient data to identify trends and opportunities for optimizing reimbursement.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and billing departments to ensure accurate billing.
What You'll Need:
- Clinician licensed in the state of Texas, preferably an LVN, highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Certification in ICD-10 Coding required.
- Proven experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a PPS-related role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of PPS regulations and payer systems.
- Excellent analytical and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team.
- Commitment to providing high-quality care and ensuring regulatory compliance.
