Job Description:
As a Logistics Coordinator / Production Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the movement of goods and materials, as well as overseeing production schedules and workflows. You will work closely with various departments, including procurement, production, and sales, to ensure that products are delivered on time and production targets are met. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Logistics Coordination:
- Coordinate the transportation and delivery of raw materials and finished goods.
- Manage relationships with carriers, suppliers, and third-party logistics providers.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Monitor and optimize logistics costs and delivery times.
- Production Coordination:
- Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demands and inventory targets.
- Monitor production processes and workflows to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve any issues or delays.
- Track and report on key production metrics, such as throughput, yield, and downtime.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Implement and maintain inventory control systems and procedures.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Liaise with internal teams, including procurement, sales, and customer service, to coordinate orders and deliveries.
- Communicate with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Provide regular updates to management on logistics and production performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics and/or production coordination within the chemical industry.
- Strong understanding of chemical industry regulations and safety standards.
- Proficiency in logistics and inventory management software.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
