Position Summary:
Bull City Talent Group's direct client has an immediate need for a Senior Manager of SAP Systems & Projects to lead the ongoing support and continuous improvement. This role will be focused primarily on coordination of support for all functional areas of SAP. This includes but is not limited to: coordination of SAP Functional Analysts and Department Managers, customizing SAP for cross-application functions, coordination of consultant support, planning for SAP release upgrades, coordination of integration testing, coordination with internal SAP basis support team, management of SAP problem determination and resolution, coordination of SAP activities with parent company, and supervision of IT personnel responsible for SAP applications.
Job duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervise work and performance of assigned personnel responsible for SAP applications.
- Ensure proper training and developmental opportunities for individuals.
- Ensure that protocols and trained backups are in place to provide business continuity in all situations.
- Ensure that the SAP system is customized to fit the current and future needs of the business.
- Work with IT Functional Analysts, Department Managers and key users to analyze processes and recommend changes that improve quality or efficiency.
- Coordinate change management in the SAP environment.
- Schedule and coordinates external consultant support for SAP functional areas.
- Coordinate SAP integration testing.
- Plan for SAP upgrades, extensions and interfaces.
- Act as liaison to and coordinates ERP activities with parent company.
- Coordinate end user SAP training.
- Maintain and present status of projects.
- Participate in budgeting and strategic planning process for IT department.
- Maintain currency in technical and professional skills by attending training classes and seminars as needed.
- Maintain awareness of SAP product developments.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 12+ years of SAP experience
- Previous experience leading projects and teams across blended resourcing models -- internal resources, consultants, etc.
- Broad SAP knowledge across various modules
- Working knowledge of SAP data dictionary and database architecture
- Experience with configuration/customization of SAP environment to meet business needs
- Process driven with experience implementing best practices and ensuring adoption through change management strategies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate with executive level stakeholders
