General Job Description:
This is a physically demanding job! You cannot be afraid of heights and you must be physically fit. You'll be working outdoors most of the time in various types of weather. You'll be frequently climbing 5-30 ft ladders while carrying tools and equipment. You may be on rooftops, tall towers, in boom lifts, "cherry pickers" or other high places, sometimes for long periods of time. Occasionally you may be required to climb towers ranging from 60-450 in feet while carrying tools and equipment with you. We always work smart. We always work safe!
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation of all aspects of Wireless Internet Service Provider equipment on communication towers.
- Installation of up-top equipment including masts, bracing, supports, antennas, cabling, and assembly stack tower pieces for both self-support and guyed towers.
- Antenna installation or microwave parabolic sector antennas, Ethernet and Fiber cabling installation.
- Uses hand tools, power tools, and specialty tools (e.g., multi-meters, volt-ohm meters).
Basic Job Qualifications:
- At least six (3) months experience installing, maintaining/repairing, and testing of some form of technology equipment, such as satellite dishes, alarm systems, electrical systems, wireless Internet systems, residential/small business broadband systems, etc. Training is offered to qualified applicants. Have basic computer & internet skills.
- NOT afraid of heights!
- Be able to lift 50lbs and able to climb a ladder. While it is not constantly a physical labor-intensive job, the ability to perform strenuous physical activities as needed is a requirement.
- Be able to follow directions while working independently.
- Be able to think logically in order to solve problems.
- Be able to communicate effectively; be professional and courteous.
- Be able to work at a steady pace and unwilling to sacrifice quality in order to get the job done faster.
- Have a valid (and clean) Florida Driver’s License.
- Experience cabling various electronic components (e.g., modems, routers, TVs, stereo systems and home entertainment systems).
- Knowledge of basic electricity (classes or on-the-job training), which includes: knowledge related to the basic principles, theories, and applications of electricity.
- Ability to work well with others to achieve common goals and to foster a cooperative climate, as well as to work independently in the field with little supervision.
- Ability to work in confined spaces (e.g., attics, crawl spaces).
