Job Location:
Vishay Thin Film is located in Niagara Falls, NY. The site has a lot of natural beauty to offer including the world-famous Niagara Falls which are just a short drive away!
Position Summary: The Quality & Lean Manager is Responsible for investigation and assessment of all customer quality concerns related to the Niagara Falls campus. This may include any problems or complaints involving device function, delivery, packaging and labeling of Dale/Vishay products. Coordination of responses to customers from the factories, which typically includes 8-Ds, QA data, reliability information and risk assessments. Involvement in QA improvement plans to reduce recurrence of problems. Understanding and interpretation of analytical data and the capability of presenting this directly to customers. A Lean Champion is responsible for supporting the plant in developing and implementing effective LEAN tactics including Continuous Improvement and 5S methods.
What you will be doing:
- Process investigations and problem-solving participation to avoid quality concerns.
- Investigate quality concerns and coordination of responses to the customer.
- Support of sales team through customer visits and presentations of QA topics.
- QA support of new business through attendance & input at customer pre-launches and maintain a strong and robust business management system.
- Participates in development and implementation of action plans relating to the Lean Program of process improvement, including kaizen, 5S, value stream mapping, and Design for Lean Six Sigma projects.
- Continuous improvement champion by promoting an environment supportive of continuous learning, individual accountability, and access of proper tools benefiting Lean tactics.
- Aligns with peers and managers to identify opportunities in any area of the facility for process improvement projects.
What you will bring along:
- BS degree with an emphasis on quality systems.
- Certification in Six Sigma and lean preferred.
- Understanding of Military specifications like Mil-Std-690 preferred
- Understanding of Automotive requirements like AEC-Q200 preferred

Pay: $80,000 - $130,000 Annually
