The Sr. Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of engineering, and reliability activities within the organization. This role involves leading a team of engineers, and support staff to ensure the efficient operation of equipment, facilities, and infrastructure. This is an onsite management position and serves as part of the site upper leadership team. This position will be seated in the Beaumont, TX area. Relocation assistance provided for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive plans and schedules to ensure the reliable operation of machinery, equipment, and facilities including the development and management of spare part inventory, including establishing minimum order quantities
- Provide engineering support for troubleshooting equipment issues, identifying root causes of failures, and implementing effective solutions to optimize performance
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies related to maintenance, engineering, and safety
- Develop and implement reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) strategies to improve asset performance, extend equipment life, and reduce maintenance costs
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting systems for maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment histories, maintenance logs, and performance metrics
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering is required
- +8 years of experience in, reliability, and engineering roles within a chemical plant or related industry, with at least 4 years in a managerial position.
- In-depth knowledge of maintenance and reliability principles, practices, and tools.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software (e.g., CMMS).
- Strong understanding of chemical plant processes and equipment.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and safety practices in the chemical industry.
