About the Role:
Title: Controls Engineer
Location: Hybrid (3 days/week onsite) - Seattle, WA
Responsibilities:
- Develop PLC code using ladder logic and structured text to control various automation processes related to packing and shipping customer shipments.
- Design HMI (Human-Machine Interface) applications to provide intuitive control interfaces for automation systems.
- Create and maintain automation platforms for internal clients, focusing on scalability and standardization.
- Manage configurations of remote devices, including barcode scanners, weigh scales, dimensioning equipment, conveyors, label applicators, and printers.
- Provide training and support to site technicians and commissioning engineers, ensuring the smooth operation of automation systems.
- Offer technical support to Fulfillment Centers, troubleshooting and resolving control system issues promptly.
- Author equipment specifications and review vendor submissions to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Participate in large-scale control engineering projects, supporting global deployments of equipment.
- Contribute to the development of best practices in automation management, standardization, and automation techniques.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to deliver high-quality automation solutions that meet operational goals.
Skills needed:
- Automation/Programming experience.
- Any PLC programming language (Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Function Block Diagrams, Sequential Flow Charts and Instruction Lists)
- CodeSys experience.
Salary Range: The salary for this position is between 130000- 150000 Annually. Factors affecting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
