Senior Software Engineer - HFT Delta One Trading
Our client is a leading propriety trading firm headquartered in New York and is seeking a senior technologist to join their trading technologies team. The firm's team integrates innovative technology and trading strategies while utilizing a sophisticated research platform and development environment to realize consistent trading alphas.
You will be at the forefront of revolutionizing the high-frequency Delta One trading infrastructure. As the principal engineer, you'll architect and build advanced systems from research development to connectivity and trading. Leading this greenfield project, you'll focus on reducing latency to accelerate time to market, providing the firm with a significant competitive edge.
Responsibilities:
- Led the vision and set the technical course for the new Delta One trading platform.
- Design, develop, and sustain significant components of their advanced low-latency trading systems which will support HFT delta one trading.
- Ensure all programs, new and old, meet our high standards for coding, architecture, and operations.
- Gain in-depth knowledge of trading mechanics and market exchanges to further optimize the trading environment.
- You will work directly with senior stakeholders within trading, engineering, and the R&D department to drive collaborative success.
Qualifications:
- 3 + years of engineering experience on a trading desk within a top-tier trading firm or investment bank.
- A solid grasp of engineering principles and computer science fundamentals.
- Strong experience working with modern C++, and Python, and an understanding of C would be beneficial.
- Detailed understanding of TCP, UDP, IPV4, and related hardware/software.
- Ability to think big while staying grounded in practical realities.
- A passion for learning and adapting in a fast-paced environment.
- Ready to set technical direction, advocate for best practices, and uphold our values.
