Role: Senior Program Manager

Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Program Manager with a strong background in finance and exceptional presentation capabilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall governance and management of a diverse portfolio of programs, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring the successful execution of key financial projects. This role requires a dynamic leader who can synthesize complex financial information, create compelling presentations, and effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Portfolio & Program Management Governance: Oversee the management of a portfolio of programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and adherence to governance frameworks.
- Reporting & Communication: Develop and deliver comprehensive reports on program status, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership. Create and present clear, concise presentations that distill complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Strategic Facilitation: Lead strategy sessions, facilitating discussions that drive the development and implementation of program strategies. Ensure that all stakeholders are aligned and informed.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with various stakeholders, including senior executives, finance teams, and technical development teams. Build strong relationships to facilitate collaboration and issue resolution.
- Technical Interaction: Work closely with technical development teams and managers to understand project challenges, drill into issues, and ensure that technical solutions align with program goals.
- Issue Resolution: Identify and address risks and issues within the portfolio, implementing corrective actions as necessary to keep programs on track.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in program management, with a focus on financial services or finance-related programs.
- Proven track record of managing large, complex programs with multiple stakeholders.
- Skills:
- Strong financial acumen, with the ability to synthesize financial information and present it effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with experience presenting to C-level executives.
- Strong leadership and facilitation skills, with the ability to guide strategy discussions and drive consensus.
- Ability to interact effectively with both business and technical teams, bridging the gap between financial requirements and technical implementation.
- Location:
- Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to Chicago, IL, or Atlanta, GA.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or equivalent is a plus.
- Certifications:
- PMP, PgMP, or similar certifications in program management.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Familiarity with treasury/banking systems and tools used in program management.
