We are seeking a talented Process Engineer-Plastics to join our client's team in a GMP environment. This role encompasses new product development, capital equipment support, process control and troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will leverage their advanced knowledge of process and equipment to collaborate with development and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes and drive profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and qualify new products and materials, ensuring process capability.
- Support capital equipment projects by becoming an onsite expert, creating documentation, and training personnel.
- Enhance production efficiency by analyzing process control data and troubleshooting issues.
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
- Present data-driven recommendations and manage documentation, including specifications and technical data sheets.
- Coordinate with planning and design teams to meet project deadlines.
- Write proposals for capital expenditures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Materials, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with polymer materials, processing, and test methods.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis, problem-solving, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with ERP and QMS systems, Lean, and Six Sigma.
- Project management experience with the ability to create detailed plans and reports.
Work Environment:
- Indoors: Office and GMP-certified manufacturing environment.
- Equipment/Tools: Includes computers, industrial machinery, and measurement instruments.
- Physical: Requires varying degrees of lifting, bending, and standing. Some travel is required.
