Electrical Designer Industrial Automation
Responsibilities (Including but not limited to the following)
• Electrical design of automation equipment components in a CAD-System in close cooperation with all departments
• Work on projects within the provided CAD-System according to the specifications provided by project management
• Analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs
• Develop manufacturing drawings, bill of materials and layouts
• Provide technical support once the design has been released to fabrication
• Revision of drawings after delivery and acceptance of the projects and prepare final documentation
• Self-sufficient Business travel required (approx. 10%)
• Self-sufficient execution of given tasks
Education/Training/Experience
• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office
• Experience in EPLAN is a plus
• At least 2years experience in the automotive industry/ industrial automation
• Mechanical or Electrical hands-on experience is a plus
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong organizational skills, along with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments
• Ability to work with others on large complex projects
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
