About the opportunity:
As a Field Service Technician, you will be traveling across the country supporting customers like Amazon, UPS, USPS, FedEx distribution centers, supporting electrical, mechanical and/or electronics industrial systems (i.e. conveyors, sorting & automated equipment, packaging handling equipment, mail sorters, etc.).
Field Service Technician (Openings at various experience levels (Junior to Senior/Lead)
- Openings at various skillsets from electrical, mechanical, electronics, etc.
- Salary Range flexible depending on experience
Weekly Compensation Package: Base Hourly ($25-$30/hr - depending on experience) + untaxed weekly per diem + extensive Overtime opportunity + flight hours paid
- Base Pay – Flexible depends on experience (openings at the junior through sr/lead levels)
- Untaxed Weekly Per Diem: generally in $400-$500 in weekly untaxed per diem (based on IRS rates per city/state) with no expenses taken out
- Overtime (expect a good amount)
- Bonus: Flight hours applied to your weekly hours – (i.e. work 50 hours, fly 5 hours = 55 hours worked)
- All expenses paid & all rental vehicles, flights, hotels, etc. are pre-booked in advance (nothing out of pocket)
Responsibilities:
The Field Service Technicians responsibilities may include some or a combination of all: installation, service & repairs, systems troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, commissioning, customer care & training.
At the more Senior/Lead level, responsibilities may include diagnostics, system configurations, commissions, fabrication/assembly, trial runs, investigative tests, overhauls, etc. Additional training on products will be provided.
- Work will be mostly mechanical and/or electrical in nature; including equipment installation, network configuration/upgrades, trial runs, investigative tests, repairs and overhauls.
- Troubleshoots installation issues
- Electronically and Mechanically skilled; Understanding of a basic electronics or mechanics
- Experience in mechanical, electronics, system upgrades or similar technical nature
- Experience in installing complex mechanical, electrical and/or electronics equipment
- Experience in the installation, maintenance and/or service of supporting industrial systems (mechanical, electrical and/or electronics)
- Experience with robotics and/or automated equipment a plus (but not required)
- Ability to travel regularly – 90%
