Responsibilities
Worker will perform advanced functional and technical research, analysis, and planning. The worker will be a member of the Data Management team, whose purpose is to assess stored data, identify inaccurately stored data, and validate the accuracy of the data. Specifically, the role of this position is focused on developing a strategy and design of processes to cleanse the data in preparation of a future conversion.
Responsibilities:
Work includes hands-on research and analysis of business processes and data elements on given PeopleSoft pages and in code; identifying inaccurate data stored in the database, the root cause of inaccurate data, and formulating a plan to fix the data and the root cause(s) within the code in the PeopleSoft application.
At the core of the project is the identification of fields in the PeopleSoft application (Critical Data Elements or CDEs) that will be a part of a future conversion. The Worker will be responsible for identifying the CDEs, while collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). These SMEs will be able to identify unique fields and will be able to provide business rules to determine the accuracy of the data. The Worker is directly responsible for ensuring that their CDEs are integrated with the Data Quality Management program.
Functional responsibilities:
The worker must have excellent communication skills both written and oral, solid experience with the integration of the core modules within the PeopleSoft HRMS 8.8 application (HRMS, Base Benefits, Benefits Administration, Pension Administration, Payroll), including experience researching processing requirements between other systems – both upstream and downstream. This worker must be equally confident conversing with top level management and developers. Finally, the worker must be confident having detailed conversations with the users at the functional level, with developers at the technical level, and be able to accurately read PeopleCode, write SQL, and analyze data.
The ideal candidate should have experience on data cleansing projects prior to a conversion, has been a hands-on project team lead, and have substantial experience as a functional resource in the Pension Administration module of PeopleSoft application. The Worker’s experience would include development work and would be more functional, than technical in recent years. Additionally, the Worker would have development experience with PeopleSoft code, SQL, Application Engine and SQR programs and have the ability to determine how a page or Application Engine is processing data.

Qualifications
Minimum (Required):
- 5+ years of demonstrated current hands-on functional experience in the Pension Administration module of the PeopleSoft HRMS application
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience performing User Acceptance Testing in support of one of the following PeopleSoft modules: HRMS, Base Benefits, Benefits Administration, Pension Administration, Payroll
- 8+ years of complete understanding of technical aspects of the PeopleSoft application
- 5+ years of past experience as a developer in the Pension Administration module of the PeopleSoft HRMS application
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience ensuring data integrity and cleanliness of data including: 1. Design and development activities around ensuring that data is properly stored at the time it is saved; clean-up of data that has been identified as being inaccurate. 2. Design and development activities around cleansing of data while ensuring referential integrity is intact
- 5+ years of strong PeopleTools skills, including Application Designer, Application Engine, PeopleCode, and SQR
- 5+ years of strong SQL skills, ability to write and execute advanced SQL (preferably Oracle)
- 2+ years of familiarity with the integration of PeopleSoft HRMS and PeopleSoft Financials (AP, AR, GL, Budgeting)
- 5+ years ability to think strategically for planning pre-conversion data cleansing tasks and lead / instruct 3 to 4 PeopleSoft developers to complete the cleansing activities
- 5+ years of demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
- 10+ years of working in Information Technology
Preferred (Optional):
- 5+ years experience with Defined Benefit Pension Plans preferred
- 5+ years of defined Benefit knowledge to understand data requirements and use
- 5+ years experience with Base Benefits or Benefits Administration systems
- 5+ years experience with Pension Administration systems
- 5+ years experience with Payroll Systems
- 10+ years of provided expert troubleshooting for isolating functional / technical problems
- 5+ years working with the client to clean up data issues in any of the modules listed understanding the up/downstream impacts
