iWorld Professionals is seeking a Jr. Network Infrastructure Engineer for our client, a growing Syracuse, NY company. This is an onsite position in Syracuse NY.
In this role, you would be responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of the current network infrastructure and the development and expansion of systems moving forward.
Jr. Network Infrastructure Engineer Responsibilities:
- Add, maintain, and replace network hardware, including switches, routers, etc
- Manage Windows updates, assist with Exchange Management console
- Maintain all system backups
- Participate in Disaster Recovery planning and execution
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and remediate hardware/system-related issues
- Support existing systems - proactively manage and maintain multiple systems to ensure performance and availability
- Directly contribute to continual improvement of the company’s security posture
- Work independently on assignments where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making choices, recommendations, or decisions
- Provide first and second-level support to users
Jr. Network Infrastructure Engineer Requirements:
- Familiar with cyber security best practices and industry-standard tools
- Excellent communication skills
- Working knowledge of Active Directory
- Knowledge of Exchange (both 365 and On-Prem)
- Experience with routers and VPN
- MS Server and Windows configuration and support
- Experience with Office 365 and MSSQL
