Required Qualifications and Skills:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of industry experience, or a Master’s degree with at least 2 years of industry experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience in software development for robotic products, preferably with 3+ years in regulated product development or the medical device industry.
Core Qualifications:
- Experience in developing software for robotic systems that incorporate imaging and real-time AI/ML models for computer vision tasks.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
- Expertise in AI/ML and computer vision libraries, including TensorFlow, PyTorch, TensorRT, and OpenCV.
- Experience with ROS2/ROS.
- Proficient in software version control systems like Git.
- Familiarity with CUDA programming.
- Experience working with real-time Linux systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in developing autonomous systems.
- Familiarity with FPGA for AI/ML model implementation is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test software for robotic systems that utilize AI/ML models.
- Optimize deep learning models for efficient deployment and inference.
- Design and configure computing hardware to ensure optimal performance of AI/ML models.
- Conduct system performance analysis and implement improvements.
- Perform risk assessments and design safety algorithms.
- Document requirements, risks, and test protocols to support regulatory approvals, including those required by the FDA.
