To meet the demand and assure quality care, ChristianaCare Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Center Cecil County, located at our Riverside Building in Wilmington Delaware. We strive for highest level of wound care outcomes, utilization of sophisticated wound care products, and leverage a multidisciplinary approach to care.
We currently seek one casual Registered Nurse to join the team and collaborate with physicians and other members of the health care team in providing consistent quality care for patients with wounds. The successful candidates will support patients by planning, implementing, and evaluating a plan of care. The successful candidate will work one to two days each week between Monday and Friday, 8am to 5pm with no weekends or holidays required at this time.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care for patients in an ambulatory setting through comprehensive assessments, and assessment of diagnostic data and wound evaluations
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of common wound etiologies and wound standard of care
- Perform ordered treatments including but not limited to vital signs, blood sugars, vascular assessments and ABIs, wound assessments, phlebotomy, medication administration, and specimen collection and handling
- Prepare and implements a plan of care for the wound patient collaborating with the physician and other health team members
- Demonstrate competent utilization of interview, examination and observation techniques in acquiring patient history and wound history information
- Demonstrate competence in assessing patient and family learning needs and developing a plan to meet all areas of learning needs
- Demonstrate skills and knowledge vital to deliver care appropriate for adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, including knowledge of growth and development, the ability to acquire and interpret information to identify patient needs, and provide the care needed
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with current state license in good standing
- Bachelor's of Nursing required
- Two years experience in acute care nursing
- Experience in an ambulatory care setting
- Once oriented, be willing to support cross coverage between the Wound Centers if need (emergent coverage needs only as needed)
