HirePlace is currently hiring a Security Analyst in Jacksonville, FL for a long-term contract. This position will be a hybrid onsite/remote position. As a Security Analyst you will analyze the organization’s security infrastructure according to best practices while ensuring high levels of data quality and availability. The individual will help develop, implement and oversee policies and procedures to ensure a secure environment is consistent with ISO 27002, SOX, and other regulatory compliance.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Document and Creation of Information Security System Administration procedures.
- Preform network security assessment, risk assessment, and vulnerability testing
- Securely implement the addition of new network components
- Vulnerability management and remediation. Review current environment for vulnerability exposure and emerging threats
- Monitor and investigate potential Security breaches
- Participate in investigation of SIEM items to determine root source and validity of reported events
- Proactively identify and rapidly respond to customer security issues
- Apply extensive technical expertise in the management of security tools and remediation of security events/incidents
- Provide technical assessment of security impacts from changes to operational networks
- Develop secure network architecture, requirements, operational concepts, and security accreditation plans and procedures
- Participate in IT security incident response
Work Requirements:
- 4+ years’ experience in Information Security
- Experience administering data antivirus solutions; Symantec, McAfee, CA
- Experience administering Intrusion detection and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS/IPS)
- Experience administering Firewalls
- Experience with Network traffic analysis tools; Wireshack, Arcsight
- Sound understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy Objects
- Solid understanding/troubleshooting of TCP/IP
- Proven analytical and strategic vision drawing on problem solving abilities
- Able to prioritize and execute tasks in high pressure environment
- Strong written and oral communication
- Keen attention to detail
- Skills in a team oriented, collaborative environment
