Key Responsibilities:
Network Monitoring and Reporting:
- Utilize network monitoring tools to maintain a comprehensive view of network health and performance.
- Create and maintain documentation for network configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Provide regular reports on network performance and security to management.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
- Provide Level 2/3 support for network-related issues, assisting other IT staff as needed.
- Conduct root cause analysis for network incidents and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware replacements, updates, and support.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
- Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP) or equivalent experience is a plus.
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar role.
- Proven experience working with Cisco routers, switches, and other networking hardware.
- Hands-on experience with network protocols, routing, switching, and network security.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and other networking concepts.
- Proficiency in network monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
