Position Overview
We seek an experienced Plumbing Estimator with strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of plumbing systems and construction processes. Responsible for preparing accurate estimates of time, cost, materials, and labor by analyzing blueprints and project documents. This role requires excellent communication, attention to detail, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze blueprints and documents to create detailed project estimates.
- Review project specs and scope for pricing impacts.
- Obtain and evaluate quotes from vendors and subcontractors.
- Prepare conceptual estimates for project budgeting.
- Communicate with clients to gather data and develop comprehensive cost estimates.
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and designers on estimate adjustments.
- Lead and coordinate estimating personnel to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain cost databases and historical data for reference.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field.
- Proven experience in plumbing estimating or similar roles.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and construction practices.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and estimating software.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
