24-Hour Call Locums Job in South Alabama Bread & Butter Gastroenterology Seeking 5 Days of Coverage per Month Starting September + Ongoing Jackson + Coker is partnered with a client near the Alabama coast that needs GI inpatient coverage starting this September, October & December; However, they anticipate an ongoing need four consecutive weekdays of coverage (Monday AM - Friday AM) each month on a consistent basis in 2025. Dates of coverage the client needs in 2024: :00 AM :00 AM :00 AM + anticipated need of 4 weekdays of coverage (Monday AM - Friday AM) ongoing in 2025 Details/Requirements for Assignment : Active Alabama medical license + current Board Certification required (open to reviewing candidates with an active LOQ with the IMLC) Located in south Alabama, near Gulf Shores (quick drive to the beach) Bread & Butter inpatient coverage; ERCP / EUS is not required Will technically be 'on call' for 24-hours but must include a minimum of 10 hours in your daily rate due to having an anticipated 10-13 hour work day regularly Will complete daily patient rounding, and see new ED consults & do emergent procedures that come through the ED Will have an average of 20-25 follow ups per day (this includes scoped patients) + see an average of 10-12 new consults/day Will work an average of 10-12 hours each day, 13+ hours being infrequent Will see attached & unattached patients, covering GI group of five Will have Nurse Practitioner on call with physician as backup support to work with and who will assist with calls 475+ bed f
