Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and driven Project Engineer to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction engineering, with a passion for overseeing complex projects from the initial design phase through to completion. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively coordinate with various stakeholders, manage project details, and contribute to successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of ground-up construction projects.
- Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to ensure project objectives are met.
- Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and contracts.
- Prepare and manage project schedules, budgets, and cost reports.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the project management team.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct site visits to oversee construction activities and resolve any issues that arise.
- Support the preparation of project documentation, including RFIs, change orders, and submittals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in construction project engineering, preferably with design and build firms.
- Knowledge of the Houston construction market and relevant building codes.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
