Job Description:
Virtualitics is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fullstack Python Developer with an active TS/SCI clearance to join our dynamic team. This role is heavily backend-focused, with significant exposure to frontend engineering. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Python development, particularly with Flask or similar API frameworks like Django, as well as proficiency in data processing using libraries such as pandas, NumPy, and SciPy. In addition, experience with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is essential for building and maintaining simple web applications.
This is a fully remote position, where you will be working on a brand new, cutting-edge AI insights platform that serves private, government, and public sectors, including logistics planning for agencies like the CIA and FBI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Python and Flask or Django.
- Develop and maintain user-friendly web interfaces using React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Utilize data science libraries (pandas, NumPy, SciPy) for data analysis, manipulation, and processing.
- Create and manage on-premise databases, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.
- Ensure the security and integrity of applications, adhering to security protocols and standards.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications to ensure high performance.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve products and processes.
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of proven experience as a Fullstack Python Developer.
- Strong proficiency in Python, with experience in Flask, Django, or FastAPI.
- Extensive experience with data science libraries such as pandas, NumPy, and SciPy.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies like React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with on-premise server environments (not cloud-based).
- Knowledge of database systems (e.g., SQL, MongoDB) and data modeling.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
