In this role, you will transform intricate structural systems into effective solutions for diverse building projects as part of a collaborative team. You’ll lead structural engineering efforts, including structural analysis, technical documentation, modeling, and design, from project conception through to construction.
Achieve Success
- Oversee the structural team's tasks during schematic design development and construction documentation phases.
- Review reports, submittals, drawings, estimates, and calculations for accuracy.
- Prepare engineering proposals and provide insights on project complexity and required hours to support new work proposals.
- Advocate for the optimal use of design software and technology, including Revit, AutoCAD, BSD Speclink, RAM, RISA, and other emerging tools.
- Offer in-depth technical expertise in structural design, including code compliance, specifications, system integration, and constructability.
- Mentor and guide less experienced team members.
- Conduct site visits to address field issues such as unforeseen conditions, code compliance, and interpretation of construction documents.
- Build and maintain effective professional relationships with various internal and external disciplines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an EAC/ABET-accredited program or equivalent educational experience for professional licensure.
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license.
- At least 10 years of structural engineering experience with diverse project types.
- Proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD.
- Experience with RISA or RAM Elements.
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree.
- Licensure in multiple states.
- NCEES registration and NSPE membership.
- CSI-CDT certification.
- LEED AP BD+C or WELL AP certification.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project, SharePoint, and Teams.
