The Role We Want You For
The Unified Communication (UC) Administrator is responsible for maintaining top-tier performance & availability for Clayco’s collaboration infrastructure. This role involves the rapid design, testing, and deployment of communication and collaboration solutions, ensuring production readiness and providing advanced support to the Service Delivery team.
The Specifics of the Role
- Deliver business value by engineering and implementing new features across key collaboration platforms.
- Collaboration: Cisco Room Kit, Cisco Webex suite.
- Lead technology refreshes, support new location setup, deploy new collaboration tools across the enterprise.
- Provide remote meeting and event support.
- Design and implement scalable and reliable conference room solutions for enterprise use.
- Provides Tier II/III operational support for the UC platform.
- Assist in the procurement and management of UC hardware and software.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end users.
- Participates in special projects related to UC and collaboration technologies.
- Manage and update UC endpoints, ensuring timely software updates.
- Assist in educating and training users on UC tools and best practices.
- Supports users at corporate and jobsite locations.
- Provide event setup support during evenings and weekends as needed.
- Promote knowledge sharing across the IT department.
- Act as an escalation point for ServiceNow incidents.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal leadership and business teams.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including policies, procedures, network diagrams, and end user guides.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience with Cisco Control Hub and related collaboration technologies.
- Working knowledge of networking, security best practices, and industry standards.
- Extensive hands-on experience in designing, testing, and maintaining UC solutions.
- Familiarity with ITIL and ITSM frameworks.
- Ability to provide Tier 3 support for UC incidents.
- Excellent teamwork, analytical, problem solving, and self-management skills.
- Experience coordinating with multiple vendors for hardware and software solutions.
- Ability to work independently, managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to gather and analyze detailed functional requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts into clear, client-friendly narratives.
- Ability to present complex data visually in a way that is easily understood by clients.
- Willingness to travel as required
