WCJ Pilgrim Wire is currently seeking experienced Quality Management Specialist to join our team!
As a Quality Management Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving the quality standards of our wire manufacturing processes, operating procedures and policies. You will be responsible for developing QA procedures for manufacturing processes in our facilities. Additionally, you will lead the implementation of ISO standards within our facilities, leveraging your expertise to establish and maintain a robust quality management system.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a quality control position, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of basic metallurgy concepts and their application to quality control processes.
- Experience with implementing ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, etc.) is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to take ownership of the quality management system and be accountable for its success.
- Willingness to accept responsibility for quality system failures and drive corrective actions.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to positively lead, cooperate and communicate with coworkers and management.
- Ability to consistently interact with others in a cooperative, respectful, and professional way.
- Positive attitude with an ability to work within a team and have good verbal and written skills.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality assurance procedures for manufacturing processes.
- Lead the implementation of ISO standards within all facilities and ensure compliance with ISO requirements.
- Take ownership of the quality management system, including documentation, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for quality improvement and drive corrective actions.
- Train employees on quality procedures and ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
- Conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of the quality management system and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Act as a liaison with external auditors and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements in quality management.
- Consistently, meets internal/external customer expectations through teamwork, respect, positive and effective communications and a willingness to help and support others.
- Maintain safe, clean, and well-organized work areas.
- Comply with “Company” departmental and regulatory policies, procedures and standards, while maintaining acute awareness of all safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as directed by management.
