KLR is a Top 100 Accounting Firm and one of the fastest growing professional services firms in New England. We are seeking an IT Help Desk Technician to join our team in our Providence office.
Job Responsibilities:
- End User Support: Assist users with technical issues related to network, computers, cell phones, tablets, and software.
- System Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware, peripherals, and manage user accounts, including rights and security.
- Hardware and Software Management: Document, maintain, upgrade, and replace hardware and software systems.
- Laptop Maintenance: Perform updates to Windows operating system and BIOS on laptops.
- Skills Required: Familiarity with Windows OS and BIOS update processes, and attention to detail for system updates.
- VMware Virtual Environment Knowledge: Work with VMware for virtual environment management.
- Remote Support: Provide remote support using tools like Zoom, Microsoft 365, and Fast Support.
- Operational Accountability: Demonstrate accountability and adhere to standards in all operational duties.
Job Qualifications:
- Associates degree desired or 2 years of experience
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Windows Desktop Operating Systems (Windows 10)
- Microsoft Office products (O365/) Teams, Zoom, Outlook
- People-oriented -- enjoys interacting with people and working on group projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Flexible attitude in an environment with varying priorities and management styles
- Dependable - available to work after hours and weekends is a must
