Job Description: General Scope:
We are seeking an experienced I&C Electrical Designer to join our team and help with the creation of electrical drawings for ongoing and future Electrical Modifications. Job Responsibilities: Take Red-Marks/Instruction from Engineering and create final design documents with little supervision (Connection Diagrams, Laydown Drawings, Schematics etc) in accordance with site specs - 75% of Job Peer check work from other designers - 10% of Job Compare data from vendor documents and help align with design documents - 5% of Job Create Excel Spreadsheets for tracking purposes for various jobs - 5% of Job Participate in field walkdowns to gather correct information for the design process - 5% of Job
Experience/General Requirements: 10+ years experience in the Nuclear Industry 10+ years experience with and proficient in 2D Microstation/AutoCad (Microstation is our main software) Read, interpret and generate design drawings of moderate to complex designs, including Connection Diagrams, Laydown Drawings, Schematics etc Experience with low and medium voltage power distribution, motor controls, and interfacing industrial processes to DCS and or PLC Systems Mentor and work with Junior Designers Must know how to use basic programs in the Microsoft Windows Suite of programs Ability to meet schedule and deliverable deadlines Working conditions are typically, an office environment with some work in the plant to conduct system walkdowns and field support of modification implementation Required to wear personal protective equipment (hardhat, safety glasses, etc.) Ability to pass Nuclear Requirements for job entry including drug test Self-Starter who can work alone Must be able to work well with all disciplines Must be able to effectively communicate and work well with others and within a team Ability to raise concerns
