Position Summary
This role provides internal program and project management expertise, focusing on process improvement and standards management. As the primary conduit between enterprise program management and information technology, you will plan, perform, and implement initiatives related to program management standards. You will also organize, lead, coordinate, and facilitate cross-functional project teams, develop metrics to measure standard adoption, and identify indicators for future improvement opportunities.
This is a hybrid position, requiring you to work from both your remote office and our Oakland General Office or San Ramon Valley Conference Center two days a week.
The salary range for this position is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary will be based on multiple factors, including skills, education, experience, market value, and geographic location. The position is also eligible for discretionary incentive compensation programs.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement project management standards and processes in collaboration with the enterprise program management team.
- Assess the applicability of enterprise project management to Information Technology and develop change management plans.
- Establish a community of practice and a center of excellence for program and project management.
- Maintain productive relationships with stakeholders, teams, and leadership, providing thought leadership and recommendations for process improvements based on industry best practices.
- Actively resolve complex technology needs with a focus on process analysis, problem-solving, and solution suggestions.
- Create and recommend process and standards plans for projects, develop and enforce process and standards policies, and assist in the maturation of business processes.
- Manage and coordinate complex process and standards solutions for internal stakeholders, ensuring that standards meet evolving business unit conditions and optimizing business unit performance.
- Serve as a senior authority in your functional area, contributing to enterprise-wide strategies and participating in special projects related to process and standards audits, compliance, and remediation. Mentor other specialists within the organization.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 8 years of experience in IT-related business processes.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI.
- SAFe Agilist certification.
Desired:
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation certification.
- Experience with Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools such as Planisware.
