Necessary Skills:
- Working knowledge of WANs, LANs, Routers, Switches, Structured Cabling, and Server connections.
- Able to interpret and comprehend plans, specifications, and scope requirements.
- Experience working with and coordinating multiple sub-contractors on a project.
- Skilled in managing and supervising technicians on a project.
- Experience in estimating from an RFQ/RFP including site surveys to accurately complete the estimate.
- Able to generate Statement/Scope of Work for the customer, Critical Success Factors for a project, Project Plans, Project Schedules, Status Reports, closeout documents, and other essential documentation for the full life-cycle of a project.
- Experience in project escalation costing and change order processing.
- Experience in working with Engineers, Electrical Contractors, and other trades and disciplines.
- Ability to create a time-phased material and labor plan for the project with milestone deliverables, invoicing, and sign-offs.
- Proficient in variance analysis and reporting to the company and the customer.
- Facilitate meetings with the customer for status reporting, issue resolution, and inter-team coordination.
- Familiarization with BICSI (Building Industry Consulting Services International) and TIA (Telecommunication Industry Association)/EIA (Electronic Industries Association) standards.
- Thorough understanding of proper materials management and field technician supervision
- Conduct post-project reviews to provide process improvement recommendations to the estimating team for the next project.
- This position deals with IT and telecommunications infrastructure upgrades, security camera installations, wireless communications upgrades, Access Control systems, and other security device installations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum five years of project management experience whereby you managed the full life cycle of a project including customers, suppliers, and project team members.
- BICSI certifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university preferred but not required Engineering degree preferred. Equivalent experience and brilliance are required. Enthusiasm to learn is a must.
- PMP Certification is not required but is desired. Without certification, project management working experience is sufficient.
- C-15 and/or C-15B license highly desired
Work Conditions:
- Occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines.
- Participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
- Minimal travel between the Hawaiian Islands may be required.
