Electrical Field Service Engineer.
On behalf of my client, an international company that develops and provides automation equipment and engineering for Wood Panels & Building materials manufacturers, I am seeking for an Electrical Field Service Engineer to join the US team. In business for the past 50 years, with the HQ in Europe, they have presence in Europe, USA, and China.

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the programming, maintenance, diagnosis, troubleshooting and take responsibility for continued customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and test PLC software to automate machines and robots.
- Commission automated manufacturing lines, including but not limited to: Doors, Fiber Cement, Ceiling Tiles, Press & Robotic Systems, etc.
- Troubleshoot electromechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Improve the efficiency of working manufacturing lines and processes.
- Provide training and technical support to our clients in the US.
- Analyze and review electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.
- Work with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical and software) to come up with innovative solutions.
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
Our ideal candidate is client -committed, forward thinking, and practical individual, and has a deep knowledge of electrical engineering techniques and principles.
- Bachelor’s in electrical, Software, Robotics or Mechatronics Engineering. Master level preferred.
- 2+ years of industry experience programming PLCs.
- Proficient in Allen Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs.
- Hands-on industrial controls experience (hydraulics, pneumatics, servo motion, PLCs, I/O, etc.).
- Knowledge of network design, Ethernet IP and switch configuration.
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical (preferred).
- Experience with motion control (preferred).
- Ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment. This includes the ability to learn new software, tools and technologies to solve challenging problems.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal skills.
- 70% Travel in North America
- Spanish fluency is a plus (not required).
