Our client, a children’s apparel company, is hiring a Associate Manager, Production to join their marketing team in NYC on a hybrid schedule (4 days in office). This role will oversee purchase orders, fabric ordering and monitoring, consumption tracking, and garment allocation.
Job Duties Include:
- Generate, process, and track purchase orders for raw materials and finished goods
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with fabric suppliers
- Coordinate with suppliers to confirm order details and delivery schedules
- Maintain accurate records of all purchase orders, deliveries, and discrepancies
- Resolve any issues related to purchase orders
- Determine fabric requirements based on production schedules and forecasts
- Place orders with suppliers, ensuring all specifications and quality standards are met
- Monitor fabric delivery schedules and manage inventory levels
- Track fabric and material usage to ensure efficient consumption and minimize waste
- Analyze and report on consumption data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Allocate garments to various production lines based on priorities and capacity
- Address any issues related to fabric assignments
- Monitor progress of allocated garments throughout the production process
- Liaise with Central American manufacturing facilities
- Communicate production schedules, requirements, and changes to manufacturing partners
- Coordinate with logistics team to ensure timely delivery to customers
- Conduct reviews and evaluations of manufacturing partner performance
Job Qualifications Include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Textile Management, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in production coordination, supply chain management, or a related role in the apparel industry
- Strong knowledge of purchase order management, fabric ordering, and inventory control
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and production management software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of accuracy
- Experience working with Central American manufacturing facilities is preferred
- Knowledge of textile and garment production processes
- Proficiency in Spanish is a plus
Salary: $80 - $90K annually
