Encoders are a combinational device that converts data from one format to another, converting motion to an electrical signal that read by some type of control device in a motion control system.
The Electrical Engineer (Encoders) for our client will assist in New Product Development; Specifications, Simulations, Design, Prototyping, Validation Testing, Agency Certifications (CE & UL), FMEA, DFMEA, and complete design cycle of product to release for production.
Essential Job Functions
- Lead Role in New Product Development
- Create Specification for Product Design
- Design Simulations Prototyping
- Design Validation Testing
- Interface with Certifying Agencies (UL/CSA etc.) for Product Certification
- Release New Product for Production
Education Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Circuit Design and Product Development
- PCB Circuit Designs including Digital, Analog, Microprocessor, and ASICs
- Designs with Communication Buses and Communication Protocols (RS-232, RS-485, 12C, SPI, CAN etc.)
- Designs for EMI Mitigation
- Trouble Shooting and Debugging, Documentation, and Version Control
Preferred
- Experience with Industrial Automation, Sensors, and Encoders
- Experience with Electric Motor Controls and Magnetics
- Real Time Programming in Embedded C
