Job Summary:
The Virtualization Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of virtualization infrastructure. This role involves working with VMware technologies and NetApp storage solutions to ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of the company's virtual environment.
Key Responsibilities:
-Design, configure, and manage VMware vSphere and ESXi environments.
-Set up and configure VMware ESXi hosts, including patching and upgrades.
-Implement and manage NetApp storage systems to support virtualized workloads.
-Monitor and optimize virtual infrastructure performance and availability.
-Provide technical support and troubleshooting for virtualization-related issues.
-Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate virtualization solutions with other systems.
-Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, quality, manufacturing, and within IT, to ensure that our Engineering solutions effectively support our product development and lifecycle management needs.
-Apply technical and managerial skills to manage an area of responsibility, while managing the budget and cost-effectiveness.
-Establish and maintain positive global business relationships throughout the business community.
Qualifications and Education:
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (such as VMware Certified Professional) are preferred.
-Proven experience with VMware vSphere and ESXi setup and configuration.
-Hands-on experience with NetApp storage solutions.
-Strong knowledge of virtualization best practices and security measures.
-Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
-Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
