What You'll Do
- Provide technical and functional support for Retail Merchandising, Warehouse Management, sales audit, finance, HR, and planning applications as needed.
- Be a reliable partner for Merch, WMS, Finance team in their projects.
- Manage enterprise applications team to deliver business requirements.
- Triage production issues in timely manner and solve issues permanently.
- Keep management informed on critical issues and resolutions.
- Effectively manage communication to the business on production issues.
- Perform analyses on software application functionality and suggest improvements, solidify requirements.
- Attention to details for error handling, logs, and audit process for existing and new applications.
- Good knowledge of version control and batch process.
- Work on critical projects to deliver technical requirements.
- Manage business users’ requirements, vendors, and 3rd parties. Hold 3rd parties responsible to deliver tasks on time.
- Consulting with the software development team, internal users, and clients to improve application performance.
- Managing tickets across multiple business systems environments to ensure continued and synchronized operations.
- Establishing the root causes of application errors and escalating serious concerns to the Vendor.
- Manage SaaS application releases, testing and go-live with least business impact.
- Work with auditors to deliver required information and manage access reviews for applications.
- Keeping a record of escalation and scheduling application updates.
- Documenting processes and monitoring application performance.
- Prioritize multiple, open issues, and deliver solutions.
- Document issue triage as troubleshooting progresses.
- Follow best practices for change control of proposed solutions and follow SDLC process.
- Process Tickets for APTOS, ORACLE, Great Plains, and other systems.
- Report common issues identified from service partners for escalation
- Performs other specific duties or assignments as directed by enterprise applications director and manager.
What You Bring
- A bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology, information systems, computer engineering, or similar.
- 10+ years demonstrated experience managing teams and managing user requirements.
- 10+ years demonstrable experience as technical lead in the retail industry.
- Technical and functional knowledge of Merchandising system, WMS system and Finance.
- Knowledge of front-end and back-end programming languages, such as SQL, JAVA, HTML, .net, PLSQL and other scripting languages. Good knowledge of integration.
- Ability to manage triage, resolution, document configuration changes, and monitor performance.
- Exceptional ability to provide front-end support to internal departments and web-based clients.
- Determination to get to the root causes of application errors and resolve issues.
- Project management skills and be prepared to run some projects.
- Ability to use various incident tracking tools.
- Exceptional communication and written skills.
