Skills: - Cypress and JavaScript for UI testing - Rest Assured with Java for API testing - Strong SQL ** This position is going to be more API and Database focused. Looking for strong Java, Rest Assured, and SQL, but must also have some experience with Cypress for when it is needed. Interview: - 2 rounds. 30 minutes with the manager and then a tech screening with panel.
- Design, develop, document, and maintain automated tests and in-house software utilities.
- Adhere to established software engineering best practices and standards.
- Collaborate with other technical resources to:
- Suggest improvements for processes, best practices, and standards.
- Design and develop automated tests and/or software tools.
- Understand and refine requirements.
- See opportunities to improve maintainability of test automation platform.
- Understand and apply test driven design concepts to test and debug automated solutions and software utilities developed by self and others.
- Deliver accurate and maintainable code for test automation and software utilities.
- Build CI/ CD pipelines using groovy scripts to handle execution of test suits.
- Responsible for Stakeholder Management including communicating to senior leaders in the domain area.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
BS / BA or equivalent education or experience
- 10+ years of relevant hands-on SDET work experience with a specific focus on automation frameworks and automation testing.
- Proven experience in Agile / Scrum methodology
- Hands on experience with crafting and maintaining node-based test suites that utilizes frameworks like Cypress or Webdriver.io or Puppeteer or Playwright.
- Must be proficient in coding in TypeScript, JavaScript on Node stack.
- Good to have: Hands on experience with crafting and maintaining java-based test suites that utilizes Selenium, Cucumber and jUnit to test Web UI applications.
- Expertise in web services testing and proven experience with Rest Assured/Karate.
- Advanced Experience with Git + GitHub, CI/CD orchestration tooling (Jenkins, Travis, Circle or similar), Artifact Management (Artifactory, Nexus or similar)
- Detailed understanding of build process for Java (SpringBoot), Node.js (Angular)
- Good understanding of Docker containerization/ containerization of test execution.
- Highly collaborative individual with ability to influence others and build strong partner relationships internally, as well as externally.
- Hands-on experience driving innovation process from end-to-end
- Background in DevOPS environment is preferred
